A three-generation legacy of devotion.
The name is inspired by “Kursh” in memory of our father’s older brother, our beloved uncle Khurshid, who ignited our passion for business, and “Sabir” our family name.
Our story started with the rhythm of a sewing machine, and yards of beautiful fabric transformed into exquisite pieces made with love from a mother to her daughters. A tradition that continued into the next generation.

We were working class and money was tight, so our mother was very creative and used to make all our clothes as buying them ready made proved much more expensive.
Growing up as teenagers our talented mother also taught us how to sew and knit. We had an interest from a young age and used to make our own garments, often modifying patterns to make it bespoke. When Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer got married, the first thing we did was make a replica of Lady Diana’s wedding dress for their Sindy doll. “I wish I had kept it now, but gave all my toys to charity when I was older” (Zahra).
A new generation is born, unbeknownst at the time, Alina would landmark the future Kursh & Sabir.
Alina begins her journey of research into the world of natural fabrics. But three minds are better than one, with the skills and experience of Safiya & Zahra, the foundations of Kursh & Sabir materialise.
The Tee-Blouse is born, trademarked and ready to be worn.
